Door Country Trolley has been a staple in Door County since May of 2000…

To learn about how this tour company began we must start with AJ Frank. AJ was a home care nurse for 12 years in Milwaukee. In 1999 he went on vacation to Savannah, Georgia with his wife and newborn son. They took a tour and he thought to himself, “I can do this!” Upon returning to their home in Cedarburg, AJ and his wife Cheryl sold their house, quit their jobs, and moved their family to Door County. He bought his first trolley and started Door County Trolley.

The first 14 years of business were located on the property of Orchard Country Winery selling tickets out of the old “pump house.” In 2015, AJ constructed the 2,500 square foot Door County Trolley Station with a retail shop and full beverage bar located one mile north of Egg Harbor on Highway 42. It was built to resemble an old train station with big overhangs and globe lighting. There isn’t a building like it in all of Door County.

At Door County Trolley we believe in providing our guests with the best possible experience.
